in the West investors start to doubt the appeal of investing in Internet
projects, this industry is still considered perspective in Eastern European
and CIS states. As AK&M agency reported, the International Bank for Reconstruction
and Development (IBRD) reserved some $30 million to invest in Internet-companies
in Central and Eastern European countries as well as in countries of CIS.
IBRD is supposed to participate in financing Internet projects, which
are to attract investments estimated at more than $100 million (117.6
million euro). This should be the way IBRD is going "to inspire the growth
of a new economy in region, provide the bank with possibility to respond
to the possibilities of investments in this industry, and support perspective
administrative teams"
