Foreign Investors Start Putting Funds in
     Ukrainian Internet.

The business magazine "Kompanyon" reports that SputnikMedia.net, the leading Ukrainian Internet company, claimed selling shares to the foreign group of institutional and private investors worth $500, 000. The Dragon Capital Bank, that is one of the biggest investment banks in Ukraine, will provide the basic financial support and further financial consulting to the company. The funds will be used to increase the company's staff, to procure equipment and cover marketing expenses. "This investment is a sign of not only our company's support but also of all the Ukrainian internet", stated Jed Sunden, the director of SputnicMedia.net, "and it indicates that the Ukrainian Internet business is serious and lucrative".

Camille Gotsa (Êàì³ë Ãîöà), the director's board member at the Dragon Capital, concurs with the aforementioned notion. "As far as other branches of industry are concerned, the Western attitude towards Ukraine leaves much too be desired from. However, when it comes to the Internet people realize that the same dynamics as in Central and Western Europe are applicable here," pointed out Mr. Gotsa.

In September six web projects stationed at SputnikMedia.net registered 1,36 million visitors that made the company a leading web-site operator. The recent launch of the horizontal bigmir.net portal is supposed to increase the number of the web-site visitors.
