State Property Fund Defined The 43 State-Owned Companies That Are To Be Sold In 2001
he "Kompanyon" reports that State Property Fund has defined the 43 companies that are to be sold next year. The deal will bring UAHR 9 billion in revenues. "Ukrtelecom" is the most costly project that is expected to turn out in 3,3 billion UAHR after 49,9% of the shares are sold. Thus it will account for the third of the total privatization revenues. The purchase of the 100% of the "Kryvorizhstal'" metallurgical plant's shares will cost UAHr 2 billion for a foreign investor.

The investor can also buy shares of the holding companies that are actually more reasonable than the aforementioned deals. However, the number of shares to be sold is not defined.

Yuriy Yehanurov, the first vice prime minister, argues that the SPF's plan is quite realistic. Now, it is up to the fund to provide transparent and competitive privatization, run the effective advertising campaign, and fulfill the required pre-privatization procedures.
The State Property Fund also plans to sell the shares of the 12 electricity distribution companies worth about UAHR 1,7 billion:

2. The nitrogen joint stock company "Azot" of Severodonets'k (100% for 764 million),
3. The pipeline joint stock of Kharkiv (76% for 200 mln), 4. "Crimean Soda Plant" (89,48% for 162 million),
5. The oil-fat plant of Vinnytsia (54,57 for 18,49 million).
